Physical fitness trainers work in commercial gyms, in private gyms, in resorts, in large hotels, in business gyms, and in a client’s home. Personal trainers work by appointment for individual sessions or small group sessions. A physical fitness trainer should begin your fitness program by evaluating your condition based on age, weight, height, medical conditions, flexibility, cardio endurance, and strength. A personal trainer also needs to have a realistic idea of your goals and the time you will devote to working out. Your fitness training program would be tailored to your goals, your needs, and the reality of your schedule.

In the first stages of fitness training the personal trainer should demonstrate an exercise and how to use each machine. The physical fitness trainer should show you how and where to place your hands and feet for each exercise. In addition, the trainer should explain how the exercise is effecting your muscles and make sure you can feel the movement of the muscles to understand how the exercise works your body. The personal trainer should teach you to breath as you do each exercise. As the training continues, the personal trainer should continue to reinforce correct posture and execution of each exercise. |
