Marinas provide harbor docking for yachts and other recreational boats to be kept in the water. Boat slips are accessed by a marina dock from land for convenience. A waterfront marina is operated by a municipality, a yacht club or private organization. Some neighborhood associations and condominium communities offer marina rentals on waterfront property.
